Many clients have reported that evenly spaced (i.e.
weekly) sessions are not as effective as a more flexible approach. A
popular timetable is to start a series with the first session a week after
the initial consultation. The second meeting is set two weeks later with
the third session a month later. The fourth and final session (if needed)
follows a further month thereafter. As in all outcome orientated
therapy - the client's needs are paramount and schedules have to be
tailored to meet specific needs. |

Weight control usually shows positive outcomes in
four to six sessions. By approaching weight control sensibly it is
reasonable to expect to lose two to three pounds a week steadily rather
than many pounds in a short period of time. The latter often results in
gaining it all back again just as quickly plus a few more pounds as well!
